About
Melbourne IT, since 2009.
Nerds On Time was founded in 2009 to make IT support feel less like a vendor and more like a teammate. 17+ years later, that's still the brief.

Our story
Built around a simple question: would I recommend this service to my own family business?
We started with a handful of Melbourne clients in 2009. Our reputation was built one fast response at a time — answer the phone, fix the cause, write it down.
Today we run the technology behind dozens of Australian businesses, from ten-person practices to fast-growing teams of two-hundred.
The thing that hasn't changed: every escalation goes back to a real engineer who knows your environment, in our office, with your name on their screen.
What we believe
A short list of strong opinions, loosely held.
- 01
Best for the customer, not us.
Recommendations are vendor-neutral. We don't take commissions, and we'll tell you when the cheaper option is the right one.
- 02
Plain English over jargon.
If we can't explain it to a non-technical owner in two minutes, we don't understand it well enough.
- 03
Documented, never hostage.
Everything we touch lives in a runbook you can read. If you ever leave us, we'll hand it over with a smile.
- 04
Boring, on purpose.
Predictable beats clever. We pick boring tools, write them down, and let them quietly run for years.
Why us, in short
The reasons clients stay.
One accountable team
Every ticket has a name on it and a clock against it. Engineers learn your environment and stick around — no random hand-offs to whoever happens to be online.
On time. On budget. Or it's on us.
We scope tightly and deliver tightly. Project blowouts are a vendor problem, not a client problem.
Vendor-neutral by design
We recommend what fits your business — not what pays us the highest commission. Best for the customer, not us.
Built for fast-growth SMBs
From 10 staff to 250, we bolt on the right stack and keep it boring. Boring tech = predictable business.
